The first production monitor that also records in 4K 12bit Raw, 10bit ProRes/DNxHR and is a 1080p60 switcher/recorder.
Studio Monitor
In the studio in post-production, the 19" Sumo is an extremely powerful monitor with 10 stops of dynamic range and 10-bit processing. It accepts all log formats as well as PQ and HLG and, thanks to the 1200 nit or cd/m2 display, can show the footage in full HDR glory.
On-set monitor
The durable aluminium chassis has ten threads (1/4 and 3/8 inch) distributed on the sides, top and bottom, as well as a rear-mountable VESA bracket for different configurations. For operation with mains power, the Sumo has a sturdy XLR connector. For recording and playback of the audio source, an XLR audio connector, a 3.5 mm jack plug for headphones and built-in speakers are available. With the separately available battery plates, 2 V-Lock or Anton Bauer batteries can be used in tandem. A special highlight is the Continious-Power technology. This allows batteries to be changed without loss of power.
On-set workflow
For the first time, the 19" Sumo is an on-set monitor that can also record and display HDR. This not only makes it possible to ensure the recording quality and examine the result. With the recording function, dailies, proxies or 4Kp60 masters can also be created.
Studio workflow
After shooting, the Sumo can be easily integrated into the post-production workflow to use the 1200 nit or cd/m2 display for HDR editing. Simply connect to the GRading software and view Log, PQ and HLG in true colour and HDR in 10-bit quality with 10 stops of Dynamic Range.
Quad SDI & HDMI 2.0 In/Out
The Sumo easily connects to all standard SDI and HDMI sources and converts signals as desired. Quad SDI lets you connect cameras with multiple 1.5 or 3G SDI outputs without the need for a converter. With HDMI 2.0, the Sumo supports 4Kp60 in and out as well as Genlock and LTC timecode.
Professional recording quality
Record Sony RAW, Canon RAW or Panasonic RAW over SDI at up to 12-bit 4kp30 as CDNG, ProResRAW or Apple ProRes / Avid DNxHR at up to 10-bit 4Kp60 (2kp240). The Sumo s processing power enables recording directly from the sensor at data rates of up to 3.2 Gbps with no loss of quality.
Monitor, Switcher, Record
Live switcher and recorder with up to 4x 1080p60 sources, 4x ISO recording and playback. The Sumo makes working with multiple cameras a breeze. As a switcher/mixer, you can record live up to 4 HD ISO sources via QuadLink SDI and relay a signal.
