Powerful storage with a USB 3.0 “SuperSpeed” interface is the key feature of the external Store n Go hard drive. The USB 3.0 interface reaches up to 10 times faster data transfer than USB 2.0 (based on USB bus speed) and offers very fast data transfer at home or on the move.
The external Store n Go hard drive is USB 3.0 bus powered and backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports on PCs or notebooks. The power supply for this ready to use straight away.
External Store n Go hard drives come with FAT32 formatting, so they work on Windows and Mac operating systems. A reformat to NTFS for saving large files (on PC) is of course also possible.
For extra security of your PC or laptop, the included “Nero BackItUp Essentials” software helps you with creating a backup copy. With “BackItUp Essentials” you can back up all your files, folders and drives at any time or set up automatic backups at a chosen time for extra protection.
“Nero BackItUp Essentials” software is compatible with Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 8 (not compatible with Mac OS).
Also included with the external Store n Go hard drive from Verbatim is the energy saving software Green Button. This software lets you switch off the external hard drive completely when you do not use it. This improves efficiency and saves energy.
